Adopt a Planter Project for the Christmas Season

Streetscapes Members - Our Canadian winter season will soon be upon us and the Beautification Committee of Streetscapes has considered how all of us can help to beautify our downtown for the Christmas season.

The committee suggests that each business adopt a planter or two and have it decorated with winter and seasonal foliage. That would include the Communities in Bloom planters and the Streetscapes flower barrels. The Streetscapes budget will only stretch to decorate ten flower barrels and it would be nice to have all of them filled. If you could “adopt a barrel” please call the Streetscapes office and register your name and the barrel that you will adopt. The deadline to register is Oct. 19th.

Streetscapes contracts Green Jay Greenhouse to plant and maintain our summer plants and we will be hiring them to do the ten barrels with winter foliage. Pictures of some fall foliage are included to give you an idea of what is available. The price to decorate a barrel ranges from $60.00 - $95.00.
