Economic Development Committee

The Economic Development Committee works hard to encourage business growth in the BID. Vacancy rates have decreased and a number of specialized retail and service businesses have relocated to Lloydminster's downtown. Over the past year, the committee has endeavored to speak as a unified voice for the BID membership on issues of downtown business development and expansion.

The move of city hall from the downtown's core to the periphery of the BID will bring new challenges and opportunities. The Economic Development Committee intends to work closely with the municipal government to find ways to increase pedestrian and vehicular traffic to the downtown. For more information contact:
