Downtown Pitch-in Day - May 11, 2011
There was huge turn out for the DOWNTOWN CLEAN-UP AND KICK-OFF BREAKFAST.
To kick off spring and celebrate Pitch-In Week, Streetscapes Co. annually requests all downtown businesses to pitch in and clean up the winter leftovers from around their business and buildings!
Every year they respond wonderfully and the result is a downtown that is "clean as a whistle".
Starting at 7:30 am in the morning on Wednesday, May 11 many downtown merchants and residents got some extra energy for their cleaning chores from a good hearty breakfast supplied and hosted by the Central Suite Hotel Barr Colony Lounge . The breakfast cost just each person $2.00 and it truly gave everyone a good start to their morning cleaning.
Garbage bags and gloves were provided by the Streetscapes Co. to everyone who came to work.
Thanks to everyone who cleaned up the DOWNTOWN ...... IT LOOKS GREAT!!
